MPC member sees room for interest rate fall
Kate Barker, the most recently appointed member of the Bank of England's monetary policy committee, has said she believes that the low level of inflation means that interest rates may have room to fall further.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Ms Barker said: "Projecting inflation running below target means you've got to think very hard about why you're not cutting rates."
