FOMC sees slack subduing inflation
The Federal Open Market Committee believes inflation will remain subdued for some time, minutes of the latest policy meeting reveal.
The minutes, published Wednesday, show that the committee believed inflation would remain low owing to the likelihood of substantial resource slack persisting and the stability of longer-term inflation expectations.
