Central Bank of Sudan - Annual Report 2007

The Sudanese economy expanded rapidly in 2007 but was hampered by high inflation, the country's central bank said in its Annual Report.

"[High oil prices] led to an increase in GDP growth rate from 9.3% in 2006 to 10.5% by the end of 2007," the central bank said. "Despite of the good performance of these indicators there were noticeable increases in inflation rates during the last quarter of 2007."
