Supervisory board to investigate elements of central bank's crisis response

The supervisory board of the Central Bank of Iceland is set to investigate elements of the institution's crisis response, amid complaints and potential legal issues.

The supervisory board, which oversees operational elements of the central bank's work, including its budget, said on November 2 it would conduct a review of certain aspects of the response to the 2008 crisis, after Iceland's parliamentary ombudsman flagged the issues in a letter in October.
