John Williams says Fed chair Janet Yellen taught him ‘many, many things’
John Williams has shed light on Janet Yellen's managerial style during her time at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, praising her ability to force top economists to "think through all sides of an argument" before reaching a conclusion.
Yellen served as president of the San Francisco Fed from 2004 to 2010. During that time Williams rose to director of research at the institution, before succeeding her when she left to join the Fed's board of governors.
