Vasiliauskas: ‘no reasons left’ to exclude Lithuania from eurozone

There are "no reasons left" for Lithuania to be denied entry into the eurozone, according to central bank governor Vitas Vasiliauskas – though the country's average annual inflation rate of 0.6% may only just be low enough to qualify for accession.

Before a country can adopt the euro, it must meet a host of convergence criteria. One of these requires the country to bring its average inflation rate, over a period of 12 months, to below a particular ceiling.
