Sanusi wins $300,000 in damages from Nigerian government
Court also orders that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi be given back his passport
Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) who was suspended by the president after accusing Nigeria's state oil company of systematic fraud, has been awarded 50 million naira ($305,000) in damages from the Federal government, according to local press reports.
The Lagos Federal High Court also ordered authorities to return Sanusi's passport, which was seized at the time of his suspension on February 20, and restrained the police and the department of state
