Bundesbank reveals specific location details of gold holdings

The Deutsche Bundesbank has revealed the precise amounts and locations of its gold holdings for the first time following criticism of the central bank's decision not to physically verify its overseas gold holdings.

Of the Bundesbank's approximately $172 billion total gold holdings, some $119 billion are held outside of Germany. The largest portion, 45%, representing some 1,536 tonnes, is held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, with 11% kept at the Banque de France and 13% at the Bank of
