Bank of Italy ends twinning programme with Bank of Albania
The Bank of Italy ended a twinning programme on July 21 with the Bank of Albania, which had been in place for 20 months. Funded by the European Commission to the tune of €1 million ($1.23 million), the project was carried out in co-operation with the Banque de France.
The first step of the programme included a gap analysis conducted to assess the Albanian central bank's operating procedures – comparing them with Eurosystem best practices. The Bank of Italy said "corrective actions" were
