Kosovo’s acting governor to take helm of central bank permanently
Gani Gërguri, the acting head of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, has been selected as governor after receiving the support of lawmakers.
Besnik Kada, a spokesperson at the central bank, on Tuesday told CentralBanking.com Gërguri received 58 votes from the Assembly of Kosovo, the country's legislative body, compared to Safet Merovci, a second candidate, who took just 15 votes.
