Atlanta Fed names new second in command
Marie Gooding, the executive vice-president and retail payments product manager at the Atlanta Fed, is to replace Patrick Barron as the first vice president and chief operating officer of the Atlanta Federal Reserve.
Gooding will succeed Barron in March. Her nomination has been approved by the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors. Barron will retire after more than 43 years at the regional Fed.
