US, UK on the road to a downgrade: Moody’s
Soaring debt in the United States could lead to a downgrade of its prized triple-A sovereign credit rating if the situation continues on its current path, Moody's, a ratings agency, warned on Monday, adding that the UK faced a similar fate.
In its quarterly Aaa Sovereign Monitor report, Moody's said if the US government followed the ten-year outlook included in its latest budget, which shows a continuous rise in the ratios of debt to GDP and interest to revenue, then it would struggle to afford
