Mean risk management salary greater in high income countries

Salaries average $72,738 in rich countries but $33,464 in upper-middle income nations

Risk specialists in high income countries’ central banks receive considerably higher salaries than those in middle income nations, the Risk Management Benchmarks 2024 finds. 

In higher income countries, risk management employees’ salaries average $72,738. By contrast, the average salary among their equivalents in upper-middle income nations is $33,464. It is slightly higher than the mean salary ($33,284) paid to risk management employees in lower-middle income countries’ central banks.
