Barbados’ Worrell: supervisors of the region unite
A major challenge is to strengthen the collaboration among domestic financial supervisors and to establish a framework for ongoing surveillance of the regional financial system, said DeLisle Worrell, the governor of the Central Bank of Barbados.
Worrell said the degree of financial integration was considerable and called for financial-stability analysis to reflect this regionalisation of financial institutions. He said financial monitoring must be a joint effort of all financial regulators
