Bahrain: Islamic finance rulings lack consistency
There is a lack of consistency in the regulation of Islamic finance, said Rasheed Al Majar, the governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
In a recent speech to the audience at the World Islamic Banking Conference in London, the governor said that the multiplicity of Sharia boards and judgments was a long-standing issue that had led to a lack of certainty among clients about the cross-border acceptability of rulings.
