Barnier still examining ‘where to draw the line' on bank ring-fencing

European commissioner Michel Barnier will put forward a proposal on ring-fencing riskier bank activities around September this year, that aims to strike a balance between allowing banks to finance economic growth while strengthening European Union measures to mitigate systemic risk.
