Iran's central bank faces sanctions squeeze

The Iranian central bank's transactions could face close international scrutiny if a proposed package of sanctions against the country is approved by the United Nations Security Council.

A UN official told CentralBanking.com that the proposals, put forth on Tuesday, specifically targeted the central bank for the first time.
