Improved communications takes transparency to a new level
After Sveriges Riksbank secured the transparency award last year, the Swedish central bank’s head of communications, Ann-Leena Mikiver, said one of the next challenges would be to “expose our own experts to explain the data behind the decisions”. If this was a gauntlet thrown down by what many consider to be the world’s most transparent central bank, then it is the Czech National Bank (CNB) that has taken up the challenge.
