Central Banking met with Howard Chang, vice-president of global affairs at TCSA, to discuss the challenges faced by the global financial system and how data-driven policy-making can address some of these issues.
Chang also explores the importance of transactional data and whether these datasets could be leveraged by central banks to help inform other areas of policy-making, and the difficulties central banks face in sourcing data from new digital sources, and challenges relating to synchronisation and aggregation on a national scale.
