Korea reveals organisational changes in annual report

The Bank of Korea established a financial markets department last year, alongside a host of new divisions in other key areas, its latest annual report reveals.

The department was established in an effort to "swiftly identify rapid changes in domestic and overseas financial markets and secure the effectiveness of monetary and credit policies".

Within the department, a capital markets division was set up. Elsewhere, the Bank of Korea established divisions dedicated to monetary policy research and
