Jarai should remain as chief of Hungary's c bank

HUNGARY - Zsigmond Jarai will remain in his position as head of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB), Peter Medgyessy, the probable next prime minister of Hungary told reporters on Monday.

"We wish to cooperate with [Zsigmond] Jarai, and will not pressure him to resign," said Medgyessy. He added that the new government will consult with Jarai regarding monetary policy issues.
