Kazakh central bank injects $1.2 billion into four banks

Institutions submitted plans to increase capital and reduce NPLs, says governor

The National Bank of Kazakhstan has decided to inject $1.2 billion into four banks, governor Daniyar Akishev said today (October 18).

The board of the central bank had approved the measure in September and October, the governor said. The four mid-sized banks are ATF Bank JSC, Eurasian Bank JSC, Tsesnabank JSC and JSC “Bank CenterCredit”. The central bank has also approved the inclusion of these institutions in a plan to enhance financial stability.
