European Central Bank to launch fourth banknote in new Europa series on April 4

The European Central Bank (ECB) is on the verge of issuing the fourth banknote from its new Europa series, which is equipped with a new design and upgraded security features.

Europe’s central bank has been preparing for the launch of the new €50 banknote since July 2016, when the design was unveiled in Frankfurt. It will enter circulation on April 4.

Like the rest of the new Europa series, the €50 has been designed in line with the theme of “ages and styles”, and features the Renaissance
