Bank of Ireland’s Cronin spells out Brexit process for insurance firms
“Hearts and minds” have to be in Ireland, says director of insurance supervision
The Bank of Ireland's director of insurance supervision has said the central bank would be open to "any applicant" wishing to move to Ireland following the UK's vote to leave the EU.
"Going into 2017, we are entering an intense period of uncertainty. This will be the year of reality for Brexit – what will it mean for the industry, the regulators and Europe," Sylvia Cronin said.
Cronin emphasised her department, when reviewing applications, would only be "satisfied" on the knowledge the "hearts
