Central Bank of Aruba to establish payments department

The Central Bank of Aruba will create a payments system department as part of its five-year strategic plan, the governor announced on November 11.

In the text of a speech released on November 22, Jeanette Semeleer announced the bank would be conducting an assessment of the current payment system within the next two weeks: "The results and recommendations of this assessment will be shared with our stakeholders."

As part of the review, the bank will also establish a new payments department that
