Philadelphia Fed president calls for 'simpler' regulatory mechanisms
FOMC member wants to make it easier for market participants to gauge regulatory behaviour
Simple regulations are easier for financial firms to follow, increase the likelihood that supervisors will consistently enforce them and are more likely to foster financial stability, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia president Charles Plosser said in a speech on Tuesday April 8.
