ECB’s Asmussen urges Denmark and Sweden to sit at banking union table

Denmark and Sweden would be wise to sign up to the single supervisory mechanism (SSM) now, Jörg Asmussen, a member of the executive board of the European Central Bank (ECB), said today.

At the Danske Bank Financial Forum in Stockholm, Asmussen said banking union was critical for those within the eurozone (the "ins") and would be desirable for those outside (the "outs").
