Central Bank of Barbados hears from former Chinese politician
Former vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in China and president of the China-Latin America and the Caribbean Friendship Association, Cheng Siwei, spoke to Barbadian business people about the Chinese economy at a luncheon hosted by the Central Bank of Barbados on March 9.
After offering a detailed analysis of high levels of saving by the Chinese population, Cheng said "the core of ancient Chinese philosophy is compromising and balancing".
