Stress tests reveal vulnerabilities in the Mexican banking sector

Despite the Mexican banking sector remaining "sound" under adverse stress scenarios, some banks and investment funds displayed a level of vulnerability in "extreme scenarios".

According to a financial systems report published by the central bank, "disruptive" adjustments in interest rates adversely affected some investment funds and non-financial companies in Mexico's latest stress tests.
