Paper: eurozone investors ‘overexposed’ to securities issued within the region

Eurozone investors are "overexposed" to securities issued within the region, according to research published by the European Central Bank today (June 8).

The working paper, Financial exposure to the euro area before and after the crisis: home bias and institutions at home, by Vincent Arthur Floreani and Maurizio Michael Habib, examines 10 eurozone countries, split into high-rating (Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany and Netherlands) and low-rating (Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain)
