Chile notes health of domestic economy has declined

Latest financial stability report highlights lack of profitability in the banking sector

The Central Bank of Chile has published its latest assessment of the health of the financial system, noting that, despite there being no "fundamental" changes in the risk outlook, the strength of the domestic economy has "declined".

"Corporate and household indebtedness has increased moderately, but persistently," the central bank says in its financial stability report for the second half of the year.
