National Bank of Romania flags ‘severe systemic risk’ posed by legislative framework

The "uncertain and unpredictable legislative framework" around finance and banking now constitutes a "severe systemic risk" in Romania, the central bank has warned.
The National Bank of Romania published its latest financial stability report today (April 28) – the first of two this year, having previously released a report annually. The central bank reiterates its concerns around a law on "debt discharge" passed by parliament.
