FOMC minutes reveals divergent views on timing of asset sales

Minutes of the Federal Reserve's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on April 27-28 published on Thursday shows some disagreements between members over a potential sale of the Fed's holdings of long term assets.

While no definitive conclusions were reached, there does appear to be agreement that a programme of sales at some point is preferential to simply allowing the securities to run to maturity.
