People: Finland appoints two central bank board members; Atlanta Fed promotes senior managers

Former European Commissioner Rehn joins Finnish board

Finland: Two new members have been chosen to serve on the board of the Finnish central bank, Olli Rehn, the former chief official for economic and monetary matters with the European Union, and a senior financial regulator.

Both Rehn and the second appointee, Marja Nykänen were chosen by the parliamentary supervisory committee that oversees Finland's central bank. Nykänen is currently deputy director general of Finland's financial supervisory agency.

They will both serve five-year terms, starting
