People: RBNZ appoints new board chair; reshuffle of senior management at Australian central bank

New Zealand: The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) has appointed Neil Quigley as chair of the banks' board of directors. Quigley is currently vice-chancellor at the University of Waikato.

Rod Carr, the outgoing chair, has worked at the central bank for 10 years, serving as deputy governor between 1998 and 2003, before being appointed acting governor.
