Gareth Murphy says goodbye to the Central Bank of Ireland

Ireland: Gareth Murphy announced his resignation as director of market supervision at the Central Bank of Ireland on August 22.

"After eight years dealing with issues related to the financial crisis and its aftermath at both the Central Bank of Ireland and previously at the Bank of England, it is now time to move on," Murphy said. He went on to encourage his colleagues to continue to pursue the central bank's "important goals".
