Slovenian central bank says governor will not resign
Slovenian prosecutor-general also rejects protest by Draghi against police search
Slovenia's central bank has issued a statement denying local reports its governor Boštjan Jazbec will resign following a police raid on the bank's premises.
The country's prosecutor-general has meanwhile publicly rejected a formal protest by Mario Draghi, president of the European Central Bank (ECB).
Jazbec has not resigned and has no intention of doing so, the Bank of Slovenia says in a statement published today (July 12). A local media report stating that he was about to step down was false
