Hungary: A member of the monetary council of the Hungarian central bank has resigned to become head of the country's postal services.

Andrea Bártfai-Mager resigned from the nine-member council effective July 6. She has been "appointed government commissioner for postal services and national financial services", a spokesperson said. 

The Hungarian parliament's standing committee for economic affairs will recommend a successor to the full parliament. The council is next due to announce an interest
