Central bank arranges festival to 'nurture feelings of affection' for currency
Bank Indonesia (BI) is taking its message of currency patriotism to the streets as it looks for more jovial ways to discourage persistent use of foreign money in domestic transactions.
The central bank is hosting a three-day festival in Jakarta to celebrate the Indonesian currency – or as the BI says: "show the rupiah some love".
The festival, hosted in collaboration with local banks, money changers and payment service providers between Thursday and Saturday (November 19–21), is part of a push
