EBA launches consultation on credit value adjustment risk
The European Banking Authority (EBA) is seeking to provide a "common European approach" to assessing credit value adjustment (CVA) risk under the supervisory review and evaluation process (SREP) in the region. It has published draft guidelines on the topic on November 13, for public consultation.
The draft guidelines, the EBA said, provide the competent national authorities with "methods, principles and criteria" designed to help them determine whether CVA risk is "relevant" and "material" and
