Vocalink to deliver ‘new generation’ real-time payments in US

UK payments firm chosen to provide software behind faster payments project

UK-based payments firm Vocalink is to provide the software behind a new US real-time payments system, with the aim of delivering both credit and debit transactions instantaneously.

Vocalink revealed on October 26 it has been chosen to provide "software and services" for a real-time system to The Clearing House (TCH), a bank-owned automated clearing house operator that accounts for around 50% of US commercial clearing volume.
