People: Madigan returns to Fed board; FCA appoints retail supervisory head

United States: Brian Madigan has returned to the Federal Reserve Board after five years away, after he was named secretary of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) and deputy director of its influential division of monetary affairs on June 19.

Previously the role of secretary was held by the division director, but the two positions are now being separated. Indeed, Madigan held both posts during his previous stint at the board, between 2007 and 2010.
