Reports suggest economic activity is expanding at a steady rate across the US, according to the latest reports, as Federal Reserve officials continue to grapple with the question of when to raise interest rates.

The latest Beige Book shows the economy expanding at a "moderate pace" across six of the 12 Federal Reserve districts, with "modest" improvements in most others.
