Bank of Canada will consult public on future banknote designs

The Bank of Canada is looking for input from the general public on how the country's next banknotes should be designed, launching an online survey on its website.

The consultation was prompted by a review of the design process behind the central bank's latest series of polymer notes, announced in 2011. The final denominations of the "frontier series", $5 and $10, were launched by a Canadian astronaut – while in space – in November 2013.
