Finance and economy minister becomes a director of the Central Bank of Venezuela
Venezuela: Rodolfo Marco Torres, Venezuela's minister of economy, finance and banking, has been appointed to the board of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) by order of the country's President, Nicolas Maduro.
Torres was appointed to the government in January, the same day that Nelson Merentes was named president of the BCV – the central bank's third president in nine months.
