Riksbank vice-governor Per Jansson has rebutted criticism levelled by a former executive board member against the bank's ‘leaning against the wind' policy, arguing macro-prudential regulation offers no "quick fix" of financial imbalances and that it would be "very peculiar" to ignore these when setting interest rates.
