Riksbank appoints two senior managers

Christina Wejshammar to head up Bank's new ‘cash and payments systems department'

Sveriges Riksbank today unveiled two new senior appointments following last month's organisational shake-up at the bank, which saw the establishment of three new units, including a ‘markets department' inspired by Norges Bank and the Bank of England.

Christina Wejshammar, who joined the Riksbank as a legal counsel in 2003 before becoming head of the bank's banknotes and coins division, has been named head of the cash and payment systems department, which is responsible for the day-to-day work on
