Danièle Nouy confirmed as chair of SSM supervisory board

The European Union Council today formally appointed Danièle Nouy chair of the supervisory board of the single supervisory mechanism (SSM) at the European Central Bank (ECB), following her nomination by the ECB executive board and subsequent approval by the European Parliament.

Nouy was appointed from January 1, 2014, for a five-year term of office. Before she starts, however, one of her first jobs will be to agree with the executive board which of them should be her deputy. Asked by CentralBanki
