RBA proposes Australian Payments Council to strengthen industry coordination
The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) and industry body Australian Payments Clearing Association (Apca) have released a consultation on the establishment of the Australian Payments Council (APC) to coordinate with the regulator on industry initiatives.
The consultation was released earlier this week, and envisions a council consisting of members from the Australian payments industry. The council is expected to provide increased dialogue between industry participants and the central bank as the RBA
