Argentina’s Marcó del Pont nominated for full term

Cristina Fernández, Argentina's President, on Wednesday nominated Mercedes Marcó del Pont, the governor of the Central Bank of Argentina, for a fresh six-year term.

A spokesperson for the central bank confirmed Thursday that in addition to Marcó del Pont, President Fernández also nominated Miguel Angel Pesce, the deputy governor, and Waldo Farías, a member of the central bank's board of directors for further six-year terms.

Marcó del Pont's nomination has rankled with private sector economists
